The Natural Resource Conservation Service’s Corvallis’s Plant Materials Center in collaboration with the Farmscaping for Beneficials Program at the Integrated Plant Protection Center at Oregon State University are presenting their fourth annual woody plants propagation workshop.  This hands-on workshop is for farmers and conservationists working with farmers who wish to establish and enhance on-farm habitat with native plants for beneficial insects and native pollinators.  Participants will learn how to identify and propagate native woody species that may already exist on their farm.  There will be interactive exercises on plant selection and on-farm habitat design and establishment to keep the good bugs around “for when you need them” and hands-on practice in creating and planting cuttings.

There is no charge for this event, however, registration is required as  space is limited.  We will take a break for lunch so please bring your own lunch and join us.  A portion of the workshop will be outside, rain or shine, so please be sure and dress for wet, cold weather!  You will need to bring your own (pre-washed in a 10% chlorine solution, please) pruners/clippers for cutting up to 1 inch of woody material.
